Your first class, and what to expect

Most people who come to Lotus have never done yoga before, or haven't for years. You don't need to be flexible, and you don't need any kit.

How your first visit goes

  1. Pick a beginner-friendly class

Slow Flow on Tuesdays and the Beginner Foundations course are the gentlest starts, but anything marked “all levels” is fine.

  2. Book online

Booking holds your mat. If the class is full, join the waiting list and we'll email you if a place comes up.

  3. Arrive ten minutes early

Ring the bell at the green door and come up to the first floor. We'll show you round, find you a mat and ask about any injuries.

  4. Go at your own pace

Your teacher will offer easier options throughout. Resting is always allowed, and nobody's watching how far you bend.
